Hand-stitch a leather belt workshop

  • Birkhill House CIC Earlston, Scotland, TD4 6AR United Kingdom (map)

Learn the traditional craft of hand-stitching leather. This workshop is suitable for beginners.

I will take you through the various stages of making a quality, made to measure, belt. Teaching you how to measure a belt to make it comfortable, how to hand-stitch and how to give the belt a nice smooth finished edge.

You will have a choice of various leathers, colour of thread and buckles.

Leather and tools will be provided

You will be able to ask me questions about leatherwork.

As this is an all day workshop please bring your own lunch. Tea/coffee and locally made cake will be provided.

Note: For the belt workshop all you need to take is a belt that currently fits so we can measure it and make your new belt the perfect size.

My home workshop in Melrose is too small to hold workshops so they are going to be held at Birkhill House CIC, near Earlston.
