Farm Christmas Fair
Christmas in the Tattie Barn - a Christmas Market like no other near
Glenfarg, Perthshire on the 7th and 8th of December. With exceptional
shopping and over 60 stands per day of the best Scottish small
businesses, including farmers, food producers, crafters, artists and so
much more. This is an event where you can shop till you drop but also
enjoy some amazing experiences. It’s an ideal event to bring kids to, with
animals available to see, storytelling, face painting, pre-bookable art
activities, Santa (although tickets are selling fast), photography for
families, live calligraphy on ceramic baubles and so much more. You can
grab a tipple from any of the drinks companies and have a fantastic time
trying food from a selection of hot food vendors. There will be coffee
galore - pumpkin spiced lattes, peppermint hot chocolates and crumble
for pudding. Shop, craft, enjoy Christmas time with your littles and come
along for the most memorable Christmas Market - Christmas in the Tattie

Hopetoun House Christmas Shopping Event 2024
Hopetoun House annual Christmas Shopping Fair is a great event, with lots of varied exhibitors. Just what you need for all your Christmas gift shopping. This is my 3rd year at this event and is the biggest in my calendar.
The Crafters Art & Design Fair 2024
This is a great event with lots of quality handmade goods for sale. Items ranging from glass, pottery, paintings and of course my leather goods. Perfect timing for all your Christmas gifts. There is also a local charity that runs a great cafe, so if you wish, you can spend the whole day there.
Quality hand-stitch belt course
Full Day Course: 10am - 4pm
You will learn all the steps to make a quality, made to measure belt. From how to hand-stitch the strong saddle stitch through to finishing the edges nicely.
You can choose your leather, buckle and colour of stitching.
All leather, buckles, materials and tools will be provided
Maximum of 6 people
Included in the price is lunch of homemade soup, locally made artisan bread and butter. Tea/coffee and homemade cake. If that isn’t enough but a tour of the farm by the farm owner.

Higham Hall - Make a hand-stitched wallet or card holder
I am looking forward to running my second leatherwork course at Higham Hall this year.
You will have the opportunity to create your own personalised wallet or card holder. There will be a choice of various wallet designs to choose from. You will learn how to hand-tool your own drawings and designs onto the leather cover. Once you’ve finished personalising it you will learn how to hand-stitch the wallet using the distinctive saddle stitch.
Templates are available if you do not wish to use your own drawings.
Materials and tools will be provided.
You will be able to ask me questions about leatherwork.

Introduction to hand-tooling leather workshop
Learn the traditional craft of hand-tooling designs onto leather by making coasters, keyrings or a picture.
I will teach you how to take your own drawing and hand-tool it onto leather. Don’t worry if you feel you’re not good at drawing as templates can be provided if you wish. There will also be stamps with lettering and numbers.
All leather, materials and tools will be provided.
You will be able to ask me questions about leatherwork.
This is course is perfect if you wish to make personalised and handmade gifts.

Art at Ancrum 2024
Art at Ancrum is an art festival exhibiting local artists and design-led makers. This great event is celebrating it’s 10th year! The artists and makers are spread in various venues in the beautiful village of Ancrum. You can see some amazing talent and get the chance to buy directly from the artisan’s.
This year 25% of the exhibitors will be there for the first time. There is always something new to see at this event.

I am returning to Birkhill House CIC to run another leatherwork course. This time I am teaching how to make a hand-stitched leather wallet, card holder or pocket journal. This course is suitable for beginners or people who have done leatherwork before.

Set in the beautiful grounds of Marchmont House. The Open Studio Weekend has various workshops, open studios, food stalls and of course the makers market .
This was a great event last year and I will be returning with an even bigger stall - look forward to seeing you there.
There will be tours around the beautiful house and gardens.

I am excited to be running a residential course at the beautiful Higham Hall , in the beautiful Lake District.
Learn the traditional craft of leatherwork by making a quality hand-stitched belt. I will teach you the various stages including how to measure a belt to make it comfortable, how to hand-stitch and give the belt a nice smooth finished edge.
You will also get the chance to learn how to hand-tool leather. You can use yourown designs or the designs and templates provided. A chance for you to be creative with leather.
You will have a choice of various leathers, colour of thread and buckles. All tools will be provided.
You will be able to ask me questions about leatherwork.
Note: For the belt workshop all you need to take is a belt that currently fits so we can measure it and make your new belt the perfect size.

Art @ Ancrum is a long weekend of exhibitions and demonstrations by professional artists and design-led makers in multiple venues throughout the village of Ancrum, where you can meet and purchase directly from the local artisans.
See and support the wealth of local creative talent.
This is a lovely event where you get to walk around the beautiful, friendly village of Ancrum, There are several venues where you can see and buy art and products made by creative makers. It is a very relaxed weekend and people travel for miles to visit this art event.
I will be demonstrating leatherwork at 12.30pm on Sunday in the Marquee.
My stall will be in Ancrum Bowling Club (Location 1).

There are things to do for all the family including childrens workshops with Georgie Faye.

Sir Jackie Stewart Classic - Festival of Motoring
This is the first year of this event, and it looks like it’s going to be a great one.
“Sir Jackie Stewart Classic Presented by Rolex, a major new motoring event showcasing the career of three-time Formula One World Champion, Sir Jackie Stewart OBE, featuring live motorsport action and an award-winning classic car show, all in aid of Race Against Dementia.”
There are going to be vintage cars (some of which are from Sir Jackie Stewart's own collection), retail village and trade, food and drink, fun for kids, interactive STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) activities and a maker & creators marque (that's where I'm going to be).
